Moving up to Hyper-V

Well, I'm flattening my Media Center virtual server and building it back up with Windows Server 2008 and the Hyper-V beta.  So far, the install was able to set up multi-boot quite easily.  Most of the drivers I need for 2008 seem to work, but since I did an upgrade install, it seems that Windows won't activate!

I'm also setting up Windows Home Server in a virtual machine.  The install itself went pretty well, but the big drawback is that there's no 64 bit client out yet, so I can't remote control my Windows 2008 host from the road.  I'm contemplating a couple of work-arounds to this issue, but more on that later. ;)

Building my own Media Center PC

Photos of the various parts are posted to http://adobe.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=s6046yj.b4jo0jtb&x=1&y=-40qvc3

Replacing a buggy AcctionTec router on Verizon FiOS

I've had FiOS from Verizon for about 4 months now.  It's blazing fast, but the one drawback was that the sub-par ActionTec MI424WR router Verizon bundled with the service would lock up about once a week.  The fix: Replace the router.
